About Me

After many years of teaching public high school physics, I have recently tranisitioned into a career in software development. I loved the teaching and learning aspects of my previous career, but was frustrated with how long it took education to adapt to new ideas and technology. What excites me most about software development is the ability to quickly go from a new idea to a real usable product with cutting edge systems, and I can't wait to apply my learning skills to this next challenge.

Hablabaa is an app for practicing foreign languages. Select your preferred and practice languages, then speak into your microphone. The AI will respond in the same language, and both transcriptions and translations will be provided.

FreeSA

FreeSA is an online Data Structures and Algorithms course, primarly geared towards recent graduates entering the tech field for the first time. Video walkthroughs, many of my own recording, are provided for various LeetCode problems. Problems can be sorted and filtered by a variety of factors, and personal progress can be saved to the users' GitHub account.

WeView

WeView is a video hosting and streaming platform with a focus on education. Teachers can upload videos, and students can watch them anywhere, anytime. While they watch, students can leave comments, but unlike YouTube, where comments appear at the bottom of the video, WeView comments are timestamped, and by default will appear at the same time in the video that they were made.

Tootr

Tootr is a full stack clone of Twitter, themed around matching students and tutors. Through tags, mentions, likes, and follows, users can find tutoring based on subject quickly and easily. Tootr uses a Python/Flask backend framework, in which I was completely self taught.

Do you wish there was a way to vibe with audio visually and audibly rather than only listening to it? WaveSense is an audio visualizer application that enables users to select songs or upload local audio files, then feeds the selected audio into a visual display reflective of the audio waves.
